Richie Spice VP recording artist Richie Spice is a reggae legend who just dropped his new album called “Gideon Boot”. In this exclusive interview, he speaks about hooking u with Bobby Dixon, his new tour with Capleton, his new controversial single “The Plane Land” and his views on the reggae youth today!

WHO?MAG: Tell me about your new album “Gideon Boot”. RICHIE SPICE: It’s my latest album out with 14 tracks. Everybody needs to listen to it and they should also check out the video.
WHO?MAG: How did you hook up with Bobby Dixon? RICHIE SPICE: I knew Bobby back in the Jamaica. We were introduced by my brother and it just took off from there.
WHO?MAG: How did you feel when your album opened up at #1? RICHIE SPICE: It brought extreme joy and a smile to my face.
WHO?MAG: What separates you from other reggae artists? RICHIE SPICE: What separates me is the reality of things in life. I see and talk about things in their most natural way and to the fullest.
WHO?MAG: What do you feel is the biggest problem with the youth in reggae music today? RICHIE SPICE: The biggest problem with them is they are not using the music in it’s most natural way.
WHO?MAG: Why did you title your album “Gideon Boot”? RICHIE SPICE: The album was made for the youth. “Gideon Boot” means get yourself together because the youth are our long time investment for the next 20 years. Because after that, they will be running everything worldwide.
WHO?MAG: Tell me about the song “The Plane Land”. RICHIE SPICE: That song is talking about the whole traveling experience and the joys and wonders of it; from being on the road to flying with immigration. Just everything.
WHO?MAG: How did you get with VP Records? RICHIE SPICE: I got with them through my management
WHO?MAG: How did the tour with Capleton come about? RICHIE SPICE: We knew each other back in Kingston and from working with each other for so long, it was only a matter of time before we toured together.
WHO?MAG: What’s next for Richie Spice? RICHIE SPICE: What’s next for Richie Spice is more music to the fullest. I have my next video for “Gideon Boot” coming out. And just make sure you keep posted with all the tours and other events coming up.
